The Quetzal Shorty
The Quetzal Shorty
1980s Mallorcan 'Lenguas' Cotton | Upcycled Terrycloth | Handmade in Sweden
The Quetzal is a piece of Mediterranean history you can wrap yourself in. It’s crafted from authentic 1980s Tela de Lenguas—Mallorca’s iconic "tongues" pattern—rescued from vintage curtains. This isn’t just a robe; it’s a tribute to the island’s textile heritage, reimagined for a slow morning in Sweden.
The Vibe: The "Elevated" Shorty. It’s shorter than my full-length robes but still offers a generous, comfortable fit. The weight of the vintage Mallorcan cotton paired with the cozy terry lining makes it feel substantial, luxurious, and completely unique.

The Amaluha Truth: In the 80s, this fabric was framing a window in Mallorca; now, it’s a one-of-a-kind garment. Any slight trace of its former life is a testament to its quality and its journey across the sea to my studio. It’s rare, it’s sustainable, and it’s built to be a lifelong favorite.
Care: 40° wash. This fabric is tough and gets even better with age.
