The Solkatt Kimono
The Solkatt Kimono
Vintage Swedish Tablecloth | Geometric Soul | Handmade in Sweden
The Solkatt (the Swedish word for a "sun cat" or a dancing reflection of light) is a celebration of domestic history. I’ve taken a vintage 100% cotton Swedish tablecloth and reimagined its patterns into a wide, airy kimono. It’s a piece that feels light, rhythmic, and full of the quiet warmth of a sunny afternoon.
The Vibe: Effortless and artistic. This kimono has a generous, wide-chested fit (138 cm) that drapes beautifully over the shoulders. It’s the perfect layer for when you want to feel "put together" without losing that relaxed, home-spun comfort.
The Details:
-

-
Size: Fits M–L (A wide, flowing silhouette).
-
Length: 68 cm | Chest: 138 cm.

Handmade by me in Skåre, Sweden.
The Amaluha Truth: This fabric spent years at the center of a Swedish home, likely witnessing decades of coffee breaks and conversations. By choosing the Solkatt, you are keeping that textile heritage alive. Any small sign of its previous life—a subtle weave change or a faint mark—is simply part of the "sun cat’s" story.
Care: 20° Handwash only. Treat it gently to keep its story going.
